Congratulations to Andrea for winning this fabulous giveaway!
This giveaway is now closed as of June 16, 2010
Today I am introducing you to my Recycler's Guild Team member aBeachBreeze . She generously offered a fabulous giveaway which I will tell you about after a couple of questions.
This won't be medieval punishment. I promise, it's short and sweet and fun :)
Me: What inspired you to open your etsy shop?
aBeachBreeze: I've always loved creating things, especially with recycled materials, and when I discovered Etsy it was a perfect fit to sell my stuff. I started making my reusable shopping bags, they're very dear to my heart and I still sell them in my shop and locally. I recently started making magnets and pinback buttons out of recycled materials, which are super fun to make, and are a big hit in the local shops.
Me: What are the most important steps you have taken to reduce your footprint on the earth?
aBeachBreeze: I'm really into reusing, I save anything that I think there's a chance it can be used for something else later. I really like Freecycle also, there's always someone that wants your old stuff or has stuff that you need. (Or stuff you don't need but want it cause it's just cool!) Plus the usual things like buying local organic food and riding my bike whenever possible.
Me: What hobbies do you enjoy?
aBeachBreeze: I love to sew, I'm constantly trying to organize the studio, I go on bike rides with my boyfriend and walks with my dogs, I try to be a photographer, I watch movies while I work on stuff for my Etsy shop, and just hang out with my friends.
Me: If you had the chance to say one thing to impress upon people the importance of becoming more "green" what would it be?
aBeachBreeze: By not treating the earth with respect, it hurts us as people just as much as it hurts the environment around us. Being green is easy, just use common sense! Why would you not recycle or reuse everything you can? It doesn't hurt you any, and it's better for the planet.
Now for the GIVEAWAY ... YAY!!! aBeachBreeze and I both agree that giveaway's are really fun and we would like to make it easy and awesome for you.
All you have to do is leave a comment after this post with some way for me to link back to get a hold of you, either with your blog address, etsy shop, or anything. You can even privately contact me for an entry if you are more comfortable with that. Next Wednesday I will use a random number generator program to pick the winning number and I will contact you.
The winner gets to choose from any of the bottle cap magnets in aBeachBreeze's shop!
Have fun :)
The bottlecaps are terrific. I'd enter but I have a whole bagful sitting here waiting for me to upcycle.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to everyone.
