a Moth of yesteryear

a couple of years ago Jeremy found this moth dying on the pavement of a gas station... so he carefully took it home to die in the grass.  It's so beautiful.  Just thought I'd share that picture with you all.

    It was about 4 inches across.... huge.

    Wow, what a stunner. I collect photos of unusual bugs, moths and butterflies I come across. I don't think I've seen one like this before.
